Overture Pause Function in the Works

The Great Pause Feature
I was at the ad:tech conference dumping my cards into the fishbowls for a chance to win stuff- and I saw the Overture guy so I asked him about the pause thing and he said that it's coming in the next system upgrade which is scheduled for around July.

"You people have been asking for it, so we're finally doing it."

The pause feature will allow you to take indivdual listings offline.

But with Overture finally doing this, what'll we have to complain about now?

Throwing a Bone to the Locals
As for the Local Search product, I told him that Overture is missing out on local search advertisers and he tugged at the corner of his shirt collar and, all the while avoiding my gaze, mumbled that they kind of sorta are like supposed to be rolling something out at the end of this year...

I can't hold my breath that long so I won't.

Thanks to the overture team to get it done for us. I was a feature in great demand you see. We had to delete the listings if wished to pause them or keep spending $ 0.10 per click until they were rectified. Is Overture doing something for $20.00 Limit a month also.

It is still very much in the process, I'd imagine that once they get the current billing cycle sorted there will be an update on the DTC and that is when it will be introduced.

OV always talk in riddles, which is good, means we can put our own spin. I'm excited about the next few months, seems like the pause feature is just one of a few items on most advertisers wish lists that is becoming a reality.
