Is this the shape of things to come?

A new "feature" in the making

Overture have a new interface, it's pretty good.

One of the things I've noticed is a column entitled "search term minimum bid" which is defaulted to 10p (UK version).

Is it likely that in some industries the bar is likely to be placed higher, with say a 20p minimum, or 50p for adult or where there is a lot of competing sites?

It looks awfully like that to me, I can't see any other reason for having that type of feature.

Can anyone think of another reason for having a sortable column with all the entries being the same?

Google Adwords has a minimum bid on many (particularly business related) keywords - so it could be something like this.

My most relevant key-phrase has a minimum bid of $1.86

Hey, I haven't played with AdWords much, but someone said in a different thread that minimum bids for AdWords had been lowered a bit. You might want to check it out again.
