Hello,

Anyone here using third-party ROI tools like:

[gotoast.com...]

I am looking for something that will be able to log into my PPC accounts for me and pull my actual CPCs. Most of the services I have seen require you to manually enter your CPC by keyword. Since bids are constently changing, this is impratical for me.

Any thoughts?

There are only (as far as I know) 2 companies that will automatically manage the listings for you.

With a smaller budget, the other company (not mentioned above) will actually tell you to use Gotoast. :)

However, I don't have any personal experience with either of their products.

The idea sounds great though.

John,

GoToast is a super tool, a bit expensive for certain industries though.

There are a number of other "approved" tools which allow access and will also show the CPC rather than requiring manual input, and Overture themselves are very close to releasing their own ROI tool.

hey guys.

John, as Shak suggested Overture's new tool is on its way and it is very exciting. O's purchase of KeyLime earlier this year solidified O's move into PPC ROI Mgt space. (part of their diversification strategy)From a cost standpoint it is much more reasonable than Go Toasts. At the recent PubConference the software was on display, and there was a sign up for a beta of the software. I will sticky you when I receive more information, or if anyone has any other info that would be great.

One last note, the Keylime/O software is much more than PPC mgt, you can track/roi manage any and all other campaign thru the interface in addtional to the 22+ ppc ntwks/programs.

Chicago - afaik, the other one I mentioned does that as well, right now :)

So if people really, really want software to do the work - instead of a person - it's a matter of letting the 3rd party firm get all your data.

Dunno about you, Chicago - but it makes me nervous the idea of letting anybody have all that info on my sites.

No need for stickies about it - I'm sure it'll make front page when it's released. (the overture tool)

Jeremy, makes sense.

For me it is about cost - benefit. If one manages numerous programs, or simply needs an effective way to compare results and ROI accross a diverse and large ppc effort, for example, such software can automate an otherwise time intensive process, thereby allowing one (advertiser and ppc manager) to maximize profits.

Although I understand your reluctance, I have no problem what-so-ever giving that info to O. Much rather O have it than most all other options. Hence my excitment.

Thanks for all the great replies. I have been using a stand-alone application for PPC bid managment for a long time and am not interested in changing the way I manage my bids. Does anyone know if the new Overture tool will allow you to do just ROI without using their "auto bidding" feature?

Also, does anyone know if GoToast will auto-retrieve your CPC for the various engines if you are only using their ROI product and not their bid management product too?
