Just a heads up - keep an eye on your GoTo account. When I checked to adjust bids on an account, dozens of terms appeared that I did not bid on.
After a phone call - it was just an "improvement" in the system. Essentially, stripping out some of the words in the term, and listing the "core term". Implementation of the Match Driver at Goto may have some interesting effects on your PPC and conversion ratios, giving more exposure to your listings at the higher price.

For example, my bid term on "fluff fluff fluff Search term", bid at .01 was ignored. and my listing "search term" appeared, at .40. I could not replicate this moments after it appeared, testing must be going on.
Yet another thing to watch.
I like GoTo, I hope they figger this out without costing us too much.

This just in from Goto.... from an email explaining the "advantages" of matchdriver...

>In order to maintain your competitive advantage in the search results, we take your highest bid on any form of that search term. That way, you maintain your highest position in the search results. You may see a decrease in the number of terms listed in your monthly reports and in DirecTraffic Center. This is because you no longer have to bid on all the variations of the search term. If you’ve bid on a search term that is part of Match Driver, your listing will appear whenever someone searches on a variation of that term.

So, to recap, If your "search term" is subject to Match Driver, and you have bid on that "core term", you will pay the same amount for any lesser permutations of that search phrases that include that "core term."
I just checked a few of my bids for November, and due to the "miracle of Match Driver", terms that were giving me visitors for .01 in November are now producing the same visitors for .40 and above.

We are considering the subject and may have something to say in the future.
The thread over there is where this should continue.

Over reactions to SEs is not what WmW is all about.

Match Driver looks like the new game in town. Time to get with the program, love it or loath it, and figure out how to use it to our advantage.

None.;)

Yet to see it's effect in major keywords but if there is a system it can be worked.
