If edit 5 cent site does it go up to 10 cents?

Or remain at 5 cents?

If I edit the URL of a site which has gone up from 1 cent to 5 cents, does it instantly go up to 10 cents as that is the new minumum bid now?

That's the way I interpret the changes, but I just want to make sure. 10 cents is unaffordable for me.

Thank you very much.

Its up to 10 cents now. No edit is required, the change is automatic.

"No edit is required, the change is automatic."

Yeh, but the listings are currently 5 cents, they have been "grandfathered" at that amount. I believe they will remain at 5 cents unless I edit them, no, just like my 1 cent bids remained at that amount unless I edited them?

I think the only way that you will lose your 5 cent bids is if you edit the bid amount - I'm pretty sure you can play with your add copy and url without losing your grandfathered bid - but it would be smart to call them first and check

Right, just got an answer back from them. Will post it here in case it helps anyone else:

"We appreciate your concern with regard to your account. When making changes to the URL and not the bid amount the only changes will apply to the URL. You are correct, the bid amount will remain 5 cents."

Thanks for that post. I was just about to ask OV the same question. We all already lost all of our 1 cent bids, I didn't want to also lose all of the 5 cent ones as well.

Off the log-in page on Overture UK:
"Starting 29th March, all bids will be adjusted to match the new minimum bid of £0.10."

Are you saying Overture US is grandfathering, and UK is not?

I don't know if OV UK is not Grandfathering, but OV US has stated quite clearly that all the .05 and smaller bids are Grandfathered at .05 for the present. I know it is true because I now have aprox. 300 x.05 bids where I used to have 100 x.05 and 200 x.01 bids.

Warning! Warning! Don't delete your 5 cent listings. What I did was delete 1 cent listings which had gone up to 5 cents and were not earning me much money.

As a test, I edited the description of one of my 5 cent listings. After being accepted by Overture I logged in today and it is still 5 cents!

I can't believe Overture had us believe that if descriptions were edited they would go up to 10 cents; otherwise I would not have deleted most of my 5 cent bids with poor descriptions. Maybe Overture haven't got around to implementing the changes, but for the meanwhile you *might* be able to even edit the descriptions of listings under 10 cents and they'll remain at that amount.

Instead of deleting 5 cent bids why not make the descriptions 'tighter' so that more shoppers visit your site rather than those just surfing for fun?
