overture-can I pay only $199?

Hi All,

I know this is a boring topic but I really need some advice. My client wants to get into overture rather than paying for seo, and thinks that it is only $199 for the year and she is submitted all over the place. My web master friend just wrote me saying that this is just the beginning because of charges with pay per click.
What should I tell my client?

The $199 is a service fee [overture.com] if you let Overture do the work. Do it yourself and you won't have t pay. (It's easy to do it yourself! :))
After that comes the pay per click stuff. You first choose keywords that your client wants to be found by. Then you check in Overture how much other people are paying each time somebody clicks on an ad that has been written for that keyword. Then you decide how much you want to pay. The more you pay, the higher placement your ads will get. If nobody is bidding on your keyword you only have to pay the absolute minimum, which is $0.10 today.

You will pay every time somebody clicks and your ads appear all over the web. It's easy to follow how many clicks you get and how much money you spend. There are several ways to pay too. You can also change your bids any time and move your ads up and down the list. I suggest you read the information directly at Overture to get all the facts right.
