Overture direct center upgrade again

Logged into Overture today and saw the following message:

"DIRECTRAFFIC CENTER UPGRADE:

The DirecTraffic Center® will be unavailable for approximately five hours, from 7:00 p.m. PST on Thursday, February 6 until 12:00 a.m. PST on Friday, February 7, while Overture performs a systems upgrade. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you."

Maybe this has to do with the price adjustment.

You mean, the 'rumored' price adjustment? :) Makes sense to me. Shut it down -> so people can't drop their listings below the new mark at the last minute -> also, do it close to the weekend - greater likelihood that people won't notice till monday...but then, weekend traffic is usually pretty slow.

i am playing phone tag with my guy at overture right now, but i will let you know if he confirms the rumors.

i also inquired about the new sponsored format on yahoo that people are talking about.

i thought that may be part of the upgrade as well. it may show the top 10 positions instead of just the top 5 on the "manage bids" section? thats what i am figuring anyway.

If you check out the thread listed on the front page about it -> there was already 1 person who said their rep from Overture confirmed it, then said, "I didn't say that". :)
