Well, with all the looksmart slamming that I have read I have held off. However, with the new year coming and Yahoo buying Ink, I figured I might as well hop onboard to Looksmart. I started by signing up one URL with a $45 monthly spend. By contrast, I spent about $500 per month with overture and $500 per month with google. Plus I have #1-2 placement for my top 4 keywords at google. My site is in Inktomi and has #3 placement there but its buried after 5 pages of looksmart listings on MSN.
The bid price is cost prohibitive at Overture for my top keywords for the top 3 positions, so I needed an alternate way to get 1st page placement on MSN. I thought about it for days on end and feel that I have properly justified my signup.
What do you guys think?
