Hey all!
Recently our site has seen a lot of traffic from abcsearch and hotbar (both affiliates of kanoodle) and, well, it just doesn't seem right.
Our traffic from these places is more than triple that of our google traffic from same//similar keywords (we hold anywhere from 3-5 place on our google keywords) and...i just can't believe that more people visit abcsearch and clickthrough on our terms than visit google. Perhaps i'm wrong...but something smells fishy.
How can i tell?
I've checked the logs but i don't know exactly what to look for in order to find fraud.
We've written kanoodle and they say it is simply "normal" expected business ... but with 0 follow through on those clicks...i don't know.
Has anyone else experienced problems with these engines?
How did you deal with it?
What is there to look for?
Thanks a bunch!
Rocky

I have seen this a lot on sprinks - all for terms around $0.17. I think it's bogus and have written to sprinks to complain. They always refund my money.

Not sure where ABC Search Traffic comes from but hotbar I am familiar with.

First of all: are you seeing any conversions?

Hotbar has a weird way of diplaying your listings. In fact its probably not really what you are looking for when you pay per click. But the traffic is correct from hotbar. They have a sh** load of users.

As for ABC Search I would be careful. They will eat up your big keywords and bids. Have not found any fraudulent traffic yet but I am keeping my eyes on it.

Anyway I have experienced low ROI with both of the sites.
