Overture doesnt allow mulitiple listings under the same keyword from the same keyword... but why does it allow several ebay affiliates to list all under the same keyword!

On about 50 of my keywords - i have ebay at position 1 & 2 and sometimes 3 too - most of them are ebay affiliates too where it jumps straight into ebay with their affiliate id..

contacted overture several times (US + UK) but they havent replied back - first message i sent was about 5 weeks ago...

what a pain

From what I understand, mulitple affiliates can bid on the same term in Overture...

Eg, there are 10 people bidding for "widgets online", if it's a popular item at Ebay, and the CPC provided ROI enough to justify, there might even be 10 different affiliates all bidding for "widgets online".

I've seen a few categories where this is the case...affiliates fill up the Overture serps, usually from the same program.

If you take into account that they only make 5.00 a registration and .05 a bid, you may very well be able to make it not worth their while to bid against you. The ROI for ebay affiliates using CPC ads is pretty tight.
