Anyone noticed a slow down in Overture's approval time recently? I submitted some new listings 7 days ago and they're still pending. Anyone else seeing this?

This seems to vary. I submitted about 7 listing last Thursday and it took 7 days. I submitted another 7 listing yesterday and they are already approved.

Yes to both, some are taking an eternity and some are realy quick.

I can only assume the listings are not handled in last in/first out rotation, as they should be and there seems no logic to it.

Even in instances where you are doing nothing more than changing the tracking URL, they are declining listing with the new tracking URL (same landing page, same ad that has already been appoved) but leaving the old listing there and decling it because of relevant content.......... which makes you wonder why if all else is the same except a tracking URL how that can be. I think there are a lot of new editorial people applyng the "jobsworth" approach and can only hope that it settles down soon. Having said that I thing Google have got "jobsworths" too, as all of a sudden strange things have started to happen there also.

If I had to guess, it would be because overture started a preferred listing club for the holidays club about 2 weeks ago. I got an email about it. If you submit your listings via their spreadsheet before Nov 15, you get preferential treatment. I would assume that means faster listings and that the traditional listings will be slower because their manpower is directed at those preferred listing.
