Lets say I'm an affiliate & selling product of Aff.com

Is it allowed to redirect the visitor directly to the Aff.com with my affiliate ID included from the landing page (where the visitor comes when he/she clicks on the Adwords AD)?

I see using the landingpage (when being an affiliate) good only for makeing different offers to the visitor. Otherwise it's just another step-page for decreasing the clickthrough to the destination site.

From what I understand, you can do this, only if you have the 'affiliate' text in your adwords ad.

If you don't, the url that the visitor arrives at needs to be the same as that in the ad, and you aren't allowed to do a server or client side redirect to take them to a new page...

though of course, I've seen exceptions - when I spoke with them about some campaigns I was running, they said ads that redirect are not exceptions, and they would be 'deal with' in when the Adwords review team got to them.

To expand on what jeremy said, the rules relating to affiliates are that you can't pretend to be someone you are not, so pretending your site is amazon.com in the display URL is a no no.

You do need to indicate that you are an affiliate and the eventual landing pages can't have pop-ups. Using tracking URL's to redirect is fine, but there has to be a one click back to Google which negates a lot of the server side redirects.

A much better way is to have the link to the affiliate site prominently displayed on the landing page and let people click, otherwise you'll eventually find that any redirects will be allowable and the ability to track the traffic rigidly will disappear at that point and you'll be back to very basic stuff.
