Overture's Search Term Suggestion Tool [inventory.overture.com] usefulness went down several notches. Because it now maps to the "primary form", it does not reflect anymore true searches done on your keywords.

For example using search term suggestion tool in March 2000: Costa Rica map: 850, map of costa rica: 206. In the August 2002 inventory: costa rica map: 6961, map of costa rica: 0 (no where to be found!).

Wordtracker gives: costa rica map: 281, map of costa rica: 404.

Guess it's a new "enhancement" to put right up there with Match Driver and Auto Bid. :)

Yep! Looks like they are consilidating for either correct language or most common search.

For example, "pressure release" and "release pressure" are both correct English, yet are combined to results for "pressure release"; small insignificant counts but the principle is there.

But then, not always. "Night watch" and "night watching" give different results. Maybe they have not completed consolidating yet.

And, unfortunately, he who asks for whom the "shoe fits", must, instead, "fit shoes". Not to mention that the bell only "toll".

Oh well. I wonder when all searches for "search engine" will map to "overture"?
