After I-don't-know-how-many hours finding keywords that seemed good for my purpose I'm having trouble getting Overture even to list them. Overture editors have rejected my attempts to get words that rate fewer than 300 or so on their search tool. "Insufficient searches," was the stated reason. Problem #2: I've had entire groups of words rejected because of "External Links." This means I can't get keywords because I have several links to charitable foundations. I can't believe they're so exclusive. Anyone else have these problems?

1) appeal
2) appeal again

We have found that the senior editors will make different decisions. You may not get 100% but should do better if you have followed the guidelines.

I agree with Mike. Overture editors are like Americans--

Thanks but it's my luck to get the same editor every time. He must be assigned to me. Whoopie! And following their rules does seem to be subjective. In one case I've had words accepted to the same page that was rejected the next submission attempt, for external links. Go figure. I just can't imagine no one using Overture has external links?!

Yep, I have the same editor every time, and
their guidelines, are not guidelines, but rules
of law.

One way around the problem, is to design a web
page specific to the keyword you are looking
for, which is Overture friendly, as Overture
rarely looks past the page in question.
