In regards to the question of the info not showing up after you save it, it does that I believe for security reasons.
The bank number, routing number and fields on the tax information screen doesn't reappear after you save it.
My suggestion to YPN to make this less confusing is to show the last 3 digits of the field but asterisk the rest. That way we know something is stored and not completely missing. Online banking portals take this approach so that the customer can identify the data and know it exists.
It's the exact same way with the social security number, so I figure there isn't a problem they just do it for security/privacy reasons.
Brilliant UI there YPN, way to go! On the one hand you implement a good feature, direct deposit, OTOH you manage to implement it the most retarded way imaginable, by not providing any feedback to users to let them know their information has been stored.
Sometimes I wonder about the Einsteins who work there.
Google pays me at the 28th sharp every month!
Yet, they won't be accountable enough to state as such.
My direct deposit has varying dates, from the 24rd to the 29th. When it comes to financial matters, people want exact dates, and in that regard, Yahoo appear to be providing more accurate accountability in this case.
I have no doubts whatsoever about Google's trustworthiness, but I would like to see them match the YPN system by providing an exact date on which publishers might expect to see funds transfers (or at least "payment approved" notices).
Regardless, the bottom line is: congratulations to the YPN team for listening to the publishers and implementing Direct Deposit.

I know the Direct Deposit will happen next month, but a part of me is hoping it will be implemented this month as a surprise :)
April balances will be calculated and checks will be sent out June 25, 2006 to qualified publishers. APRIL’S EARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED BY CHECK ONLY. If you’ve signed up for direct deposit your May earnings will be deposited directly to your bank account by June 26. Please note: In order to receive a check, you must accrue $100 in your available balance.
This message doesnt make any sense to me. :(
