E.U. Regulator Commands Yahoo Cooperate With Authorities Over Data Breach

Yahoo's recent data breach of 500-million accounts, and the reported email scanning came to the attention of the E.U. Regulators and the company has been commanded to cooperate with investigations by the authorities.

In a statement regarding the company’s email scanning for US intelligence agencies Article 29 said: “Yahoo was invited to provide information on the legal basis and the compatibility with EU law of any such activity.” E.U.
