It seems that if Yahoo's Marissa Mayer is ousted from her job within a year of the sale of the company she could be in line for a payout as much as $55 million.

Yahoo Inc. chief Marissa Mayer will walk away with a $55-million severance package if the company's auction of its Internet operations culminates in a sale that ousts her from her job.

The payout disclosed in a regulatory filing Friday consists of cash, stock awards and other benefits that Mayer would get should she be forced out as chief executive within a year after a sale.Yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer Could Get $55 Million Severance Pay [latimes.com]

They could always keep her on for a year and then ask her to go, then no $55 million payout.
