After figuring out how to get out of the Compuserve portal in the mid-nineties I started using Yahoo. Seems like a lifetime in Internet years.

Happy birthday Yahoo! -- hang in there.

Looks like I started using the Internet 2 years after they came into existence in 1997. Although I had become aware of this thing called "the information superhighway" at a display at Costco in 1995 (Price Club back then). I remember standing back and observing the demonstration with suspicion lol. Oh man I should have trusted my instincts.

Finally in 1997 I bought a computer for the sole purpose of checking out this "information superhighway thing". Then I bought Netscape Navigator Suite, in a box, at a local office supply store. Cost me $80 if I remember correctly!
