Pull Wordpres Post into Android APP? (XML)

How to pull information from my site for my android application I'm develop

I'm in the process of making an android application for my website and I was wondering what would be the best way to pull information from my wordpress site and display it on an android application.

I know some people say just have it point to the mobile version, but I feel as though that will drastically slow down the process, and I was wondering if there was a cleaner way to pull it maybe through XML?

Any ideas?

what info are you pulling from the WordPress site?

if it's recent posts, you can get that via the RSS feed generated by WordPress. It's XML, and your android app should be able to parse that OK.

if it's something else, then perhaps you would write a server-side API for the app that grabs the data right out of SQL. You can package that up as XML if you wish.
