Excel Schema for Google Analytics XML export

Hello.

I was wondering if anyone has done anything with the XML exports rom Google Analytics? I am hoping there is a way that I can organize and compile the data into an Excel doc but I think that requires a Schema?

Does anyone have any experience they can share with me?

why not use the CSV option and import directly into excel?

I want to present a very limited but specific report to a business about their traffic. I also want to add to it each month.

So, I was hoping to only populate a few specified fields with some specific Google Analytics data.

Any ideas.
