hi guys i know that some engines do provide this function and it's got something to do with xml. but what do you need to display the search results on your webpage? thanks for any input.

What you need is an xml parser written in a scripting langage of your choice. It will then call the xml feed from the search engine and convert the xml into html to display on your page.

You may want to google for "xml passer" "rss parser"

If you have a search engine in mind it is possible that the search engine may provide you with the required code to make it work.
