I'm rebuilding a site in XML, and I just found out about XFML - the exchangeable Faceted Metadata Language. Does anyone know if this standard is actually in use anywhere?

It's new to me, but google gave me [xfml.org...] which has this to say:

XFML version 0.1 is published by Peter Van Dijck at [xfml.org....] XFML is an open XML format for publishing and connecting faceted metadata between websites. It is based on topicmaps (http://topicmaps.org), and aims to achieve the ease of use of RSS.

Some links on this site look promising...
