I was searching a folder in windows 7 using interent exploder.. er explorer..

When I looked in one folder, it was showing what appeared to be a lot of dupes. I started deleting some of them and realized that they weren't dupes but that windoze was showing files from subfolders in that folder.

I tried closing all of my windows explorer folders but the effect is still there.

Does anyone know how to reset that folder to only show files in that folder and not files in subfolders under that. ?

Who said microsoft designers don'w have a sense of humor?

thanks

You're likely using Windows Explorer, not Internet Explorer to view those files. ;)

Are you finding these files as the result of a search?
