I'm organizing some files and folders using windows explorer in Windows 7, and it's a bit difficult with the auto arrange on. Is there a way to turn the autoarrange off? If not, is there a workaround?
Help!

Windows Explorer in Windows 7 doesn't support custom ordering like previous versions did. So in folder views you can no longer drag items around to rearrange them.
There is a registry hack that has a side effect of re-enabling the ability to turn off auto arrange. [winhelponline.com...] I haven't tried this hack. If you choose to try this make sure you have all your backups just in case.
