What is the replacement method for the 'all users' user?

Back in the ancient versions of windoze, (Vista and prior), there was an 'all users' folder under documents and settings where you could plop things on the desktop or startup folder and they would be there for all users on the machine.

I haven't been able to find that in windows 7.

I'd appreciate it if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I think you're looking for C:\Users\Public\
Within there is a "Public Desktop" folder, where you can put things that appear for all users desktop, as well as Favorites, Public Documents, and more.
