Updating BIND On 2003 Server

Hi,

I have been asked to check out a Win 2003 Web Server. Everythings running fine but I have noticed that BIND is slightly out of date and needs updating. I can find topics for installing BIND from scratch, but not much info on updating an existing BIND.

Can anyone advise on steps required to do an update?

I assume that because BIND is already on the server, I can keep certain files and overwrite others such as named and zone files etc?.

I will be doing the update via RDP to the server.

I am a little nervous to start an upgrade until I am aware of the pitfalls and steps required, I don't fancy the server falling off the web whilst \ after doing the BIND update.

Any and all advice welcome.

Sorted out the upgrade and everythings back online.

just had to reboot the server and then re-start bind.
