Plan to start an Affiliate Network

Hi,

I plan to start a small affiliate network on the lines of commission junction.

I would like to be the "middle man" in between the publisher and the advertiser.

What is the best way to go ahead for this? What type of management software is needed to keep track of clicks/leads/sales and the commissions thereof.

I think the software you need will almost certainly be custom. Have the software designed to meet your business needs, not the other way round.

The major hurdle I see is getting publishers and advertisers. You can't have one without the other.

I imagine you may need to invest quite a lot to pay publishers to promote your service, whilst attracting paying advertisers.
