Domain resolves sporadically

We host a number of domain names on our web server that runs Microsoft IIS 6 and Microsoft DNS Server. One domain, however, only resolves sporadically. The domain is a .info domain. The problem is that one day the domain resolves properly to the site and all is well. The next day the site can't be found. This happens on different PCs and on the same PC. Doing a tracert when it is not resolving yields: "Request timed out" after about 15 hops. The other domains on the same server have no problem. I've checked the .dns files and DNS configuration many times.

Does anyone know what to try.

Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Hi deanjg,

A bit more info about how your server is set up would be useful. As it is, it seems most likely that the problem lies either at the nameservers for your .info domain, or alternatively with your internal/ISP's DNS setup (did you test on PCs using different connections?).

Do you have access to a hosting firm's DN servers?

I'd be interested to know the outcome of resolving the domain via the host's domain name servers.

Actually, we host the domain ourselves using Microsoft DNS Server. We do not use our hosting firm's name servers.
