Check nameservers / IP Addresses

For a subdomain on a .org.uk

[aspdaddy]

Can anyone advise how I can determine the data centre location or other hosting details for a page in the following format:

[subdomain.domain.org.uk...]

Assuming that the first three characters in your username indicate that you are Microsoft minded, the following advice may be a little off the road ;) but it can be easily done at the command line in Linux:

nslookup subdomain.domain.org.uk

This gives you the IP address of the subdomain. Then you lookup the IP owner details with

whois IP-address

[aspdaddy]

The nslookup did at least, I had to download whois for windows.
