gmaps api: cant get any driving directions.?

its just a blank map without any pointers or routers on it

Hi,

im playing arround with the google maps api and this directions thingy as seen on [code.google.com...]

if i copy&paste the first example from [code.google.com...] to my own webserver and call it via [localhost...] in my browser then i only get a blank map, but no ponters, no route and no driving directions at the right side.
- firebug dosnt shows any errors, and i also dont get any popups like "unknown location" or so
- there are no includes with invalid paths
- my api key is valid (they dont check the key if the request comes from [localhost...] afaik)

any ideas?

thanks, already solved it.
everything worked fine when i uploaded the code to my webserver. if you leave it on [localhost...] you only get the map, but no driving directions or any overlays :/
