PCGAMER has an article on activating Windows' built-in Ransomware protection.

The option is not visible on my PC when Kaspersky is running but it becomes accessible if I pause Kaspersky.
I think I'll stick to my existing anti-virus.

Hello,

It's been a while. If I don't make mistake, Microsoft added this feature in 2017 to its Windows Defender. This was also at that time , that I switched to Windows Defender seeing it started being rated 6/6 at AV test org (previously, I used Avast, Avira, and BitDefender).
