Reports of ransomware to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission potentially affecting businesses are up to over 700 in 2020 already. In part the reports are as a result of the requirements to list and report the risks.
It also suggests that ransomware is becoming more pernicious, and the decryption fees around the $110,000.
Although the targets are the S.E.C. are large companies, smaller business can be affected, and sometimes in a devastating way.
