I'm getting my website ready to go, and I'm having a problem with the coding to upload the files. I'm using Filezilla, and when I login, a red message appears on the screen that reads "FTP over TLS not enabled. Users can not security log in."

When I open to the settings for Firezilla, and go to,and check the "Enable FTP over TLS support(FTPS)* box, I'm asked for three pieces of information. These are

1) Private key file
2) Certificate file
3) Key password

I assume I generate the password, but what are the other two items, and where do I find them?

The information requested should be supplied by the host you're connecting to if your domain is hosted on a secure server. If your domain does not have security enabled, you can ask whether your host has enabled TLS connections. The Key password is not the same as your account password.

You don't mention the type of hosting and the security details can be quite different on shared servers and dedicated or VPS servers. FileZilla will generally find the 3 items you're asking about if the TLS is enabled.
