Are URL's in Sticky mail BAD?

If you click do you know what you are sending...

Sticky mail is web based and when a URL in it is clicked
we sometimes send the referrer to the visited site.
So if I send you a sticky with a link to my site and you
click it, I get the referrer, your ip address, etc...
I try to remember to tell you to cut/paste the URL
because of that reason.
Are you/we aware/thought of this happening and do we need
a note in the sticky to remind us of this?

I think your paranoia is getting the better of you :0)

I think 99.9% of the population would never consider the implications of this.

You get the IP even if you copy and paste. As for the referrer if you consider that a privacy issue simply use a proxy that will delete the referrer header field.

Referral leaking is always an issue. I don't think I could address the issue programatically without some side effects.
