I used Searchengineworld.com/validator to validate my code, but it doesn't like body, html and various other tags in the no frames tags. Does anyone have an idea why that is? Thanks.

Depending on the DTD [w3.org] you use the noframes element must contain a body element which does not contain any noframes elements (HTML4.01 Frameset) or it may contain only flow elements, i.e. block level and inline elements (HTML4.01 Transitional).

BTW whoever decided to move this thread was wrong unless he knows for sure that this is a validator bug which I´m quite sure it is not. This is about HTML and not related to the operation of WebmasterWorld itself.

By moving this thread when there was no reason to I lost two posts in my posts count.

Ya, having the body and html tags inside of noframes is nonstandard. It's not something that should be parsed.

What does the w3c's say when you try to validate it?

Thanks for your comments. It may be easier to explain what we are trying to do: a client wants to include a whole html page in the noframes tags to assist with search engine listings. I understood that this was ok to do (correct me if I am wrong), but the validator doesn't like the code in the noframes tags. Is this not allowed? We are using loose.

No, it is not allowed

it [the noframes element] may contain only flow elements, i.e. block level and inline elements (HTML4.01 Transitional[, i.e. loose dtd])
