I just got to say I love seeing that wording occasionally when I hit the WebmasterWorld front page.
I don't know if it is intentional but they remind me of Star Trek TOS with Captain Kirk sitting in his command chair. Anyway, I can almost hear that klaxxon everytime I see the words. :)

Thanks, I think it works well too.

Could we work in "raise shields" somehow?
Along the lines of a rogue robot? :)

The only trouble is, throwing myself out of the chair every time we take a hit. I'm getting to old for that. :D

*sigh* OK..so.. help me here: which one is more severe? Red or yellow?

Red is worse.
Yellow is something strange, could be dangerous...
Red is the Borg [startrek.com] entering our solarsystem.

red.
Yellow isn't that serious.
Is there more serious than red though? and, are there only two? (i've only seen those two...)

I thought about doing "DefCons", but the military implications were too strong.

At least it isn't confusing like the homeland defense chart [whitehouse.gov]. Just don't start any blue or orange alerts Brett. ;)

Ouch - I'd not been following that Korkus. I may have to rethink using them in that case.
