I wrote a great Page Rank Calculator to share with everyone here. Unfortunately when I posted it, the "powers that be" at WebMasterWorld immediately removed the post and said it broke the rules. The Calculator was free of charge with no strings attached. It was my way of saying thank you for providing me with great information. I asked the moderators if there was any way I could share it with you guys and they said no. So, I will do my best to post it elsewhere. I just wanted to let you guys know that I tried. I have a feeling that others have gone down the same path and ran into the same brick wall. I am amazed that WebMasterWorld doesn't allow something so basic an on topic.

Skylighter, the thing is we do not play favourites with members and sites out there.
Each and every day there are lots and lots of people who want us to allow to link to some software or script or design or mini directory or obscure ppc scheme or....
This does definitely not imply you're script is in any way bad or it's pure selfpromo or whatever.
It just means with very few exceptions we simply do not link to any scripts or software, especially not if it comes from the makers.

We can't and won't be the judges of our members intents.

So we set up some very basic rules. Nothing complicated, nothing fancy.
I truly believe exactly this policy has been a cornerstone of the massive success of this forum.

It's very specific in the Google News Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com]:

No Tools sites or urls please. The explosion of Google related free and commercial site tools has opened a flood gate of url dropping to "tools" sites. Therefore, we request you don't post links to "Google tools" (there are dozens if not hundreds of them now as a result of the Google API).
