Hopefully the moderators will not deem this off topic as I feel the appreciation is due...and I have read no other forum other than this since I found this treasure of a website.

I am a PhD (comp sci) candidate (for some strange reason I find pride in being the eternal student...much to my parents dismay) and I must say I have learned more USEFUL info here in the past 2 weeks than I have learned in the last year at school. Therefore, I thought it would be appropriate, during the holidays, to thank all of you for being so generous and giving with your knowledge.

I know this thread should be in a different forum
(general?) but, as I said, I have not been reading any other forums so I want to thank those who have been posting to this particular one.
