As many of us will be taking holidays at different times over the next week or so, I thought I would take the time now to wish everyone here a very peaceful and enjoyable holiday.......

Have a fantastic holiday.... I'll be at my desk for all but the public holidays, so you're not getting rid of me that easily! ;)

Best holiday wishes to all!

So when will Brett post "most improved search engine of 2002" thread? Should be soon I should think!

Corporate policy states that we have to spend time with our families over Christmas, therefore we all get 10 days off. Pretty sweet, huh?

I imagine I'll still take large amounts of time to pour over the threads here at WebmasterWorld, while sipping Egg Nog..

..in my undies.

(Sorry for the visual ;))

.: Happy Holidays to all of you :.

Looks like members taking holidays is the exception rather than the rule :)

Remember this thread? [webmasterworld.com] Since I started making my living from the web I haven't had a proper family holiday, soooo I've decided that the week of Christmas is the only time of year that I can get away with putting a sign on the site that says "closed for Christmas". Flight leaves Christmas eve for a week on a Caribbean beach. I can hardly wait.

pmac ... aren't you afraid of having the "closed" message indexed by the SE's and affecting your position in the SERPS. Where did you put it on your site?

I would love to do exactly what you have done, but am afraid to mess with the succes my site is currently enjoying!

I think a dynamically generated image would work...

I'm not worried.........I'll toss up a paragraph on the shipping information page and the customer service page that we are closed for the holiday's and that no shipments will go out till Jan 2nd, and that as a result all purchases made will be have the shipping upgraded at no additional cost. I'll set up the autoresponder explaining whats up for any emails that come across.
