Was WW down for a bit there (or just me)?

I couldnt access for a bit and now there seems to be a couple of blank posts, etc.

Did one of the tech team spill coffee on something they shouldnt have? ;)

jackofalltrades,

if you press refresh too much it tends to happen.

automatic anti-addiction measure. I had the same just now.

No, it is down - or hacked - notice all the 1969 posts from variously named "new users." and you can't reply - threads are locked as out of date.

See [webmasterworld.com...]

added - here's another:

It looks like it is hacked to me!

I saw those.

I assumed that the user had been in mid post when the things went strange.

Have you seen "Goldeneye (James Bond - Brosnan)"?

You know the bit when the Goldeneye satelite is burning up in the atmosphere and Boris grabs his monitor and screams, "Nooooooooooooo"?

Im willing to bet several WW members did good impressions of that just then! ;)

The site went down briefly, then the weird stuff started popping up.

You are probably right! I did not think of that.

Thanks Mardi_Gras.

If you see any more of those, please let me know. There was a glitch when it came back up.
