Could the link on top menu open a new window? I would prefer that.

Use Shift+Click :)

Whoops! You are a MacMan. How do you open a link in a new window on a Mac?

I'd like the same functionality for the PC... would be nice for site search too. For whatever reason, right-click on links is extremely slow in IE5.5. I keep thinking it's an anti-virus slowdown thing, not an IE thing, but I can't pin it down. I don't know whether anyone else is having this problem, but for me having the open in new window built into the link would be a lot faster.

PS:
>>Use Shift+Click<<

Just tried it... Shift+Click is a lot faster than right-click/Open in New Window. Thanks. I'd still agree that it should be built into the link. Clearly, thinking plus Shift+Click takes a bunch of time. ;)

Hold mouse button down until menu pops up > Choose "Open Link In New Window".

..or buy a programmable multi-button mouse, and program one of the buttons to do it automatically. :)

Macguru,

Since WebmasterWorld is now customizable, you can add this link yourself using the "System Preferences" on the Control Panel.

I used this function to add a link to my own profile. (I like referring to the "Recent Messages" listing, it's an easy way to find the last several messages I participated in!).

Thanks vibgyor79, I use Opera Win 98 for 90% of my browsing. I know about shift click on Opera. I just forget to do it most of the time.

Thanks mivox, all 4 buttons already have a function. I guess I will give a call to Doug Engelbart to get one of his experimental rodents. See historic computer films here [sloan.stanford.edu].

Thanks msr986, I guess that the best option. Depending on how many users will prefer to have this link opened in a new window.
