Tips:
- I'm getting logged out! If you are having to relogin all the time, go to your profile and increase the number of days that cookies last.
- caching issues! with some browsers (not a bug) - webmasterworld does NOT disable browser caching. It is entirely up to you and your browser to disable caching if you choose.
The caching issue is new because we have eliminated all randoms strings that were previously used in some dynamic urls. Everything is now pure .htm extensions.
(note: I'll update this list, as they are fixed, and found).

When posting to a long thread, the posting page has a summary of the previous postings, with an "overflow" gap. The message numbers after that gap are all one lower than they should.
For example, this message is Nr. 61 of the thread, but will be listed as Nr. 60 on the posting page.
In the site search, can you print when the thread was started and/or when the last post was made.
The forum has been going for a few years now, it is hard to guess when a thread was started. Posts that might have been important whan AltaVista ruled the earth are now of little value.
When I look at the Recent posts list just now this post: [webmasterworld.com...] is showing a little yellow "you replied to this thread" marker. But I have not ever replied to that thread.
Just thought I would pass that on.

Is there anywhere to change the Time Format from 12-hour am/pm to the 24-hour system ? Couldn't find one in Control Panel, only a setting for adjusting the displayed Time Zone . I always work in UTC, so nice to have that option.
1. Something I would find interesting is a top 100 of most flagged threads, or a top 50 per year.
I am sure I have missed out on some of the best discussions (certainly before I became a member). Is this possible?
2. Is there a certain criterium for threads being part of the wmw search index?
If I search for "vitaplease", I find 176 results (posted 500 plus times).
I know you have a hard time keeping up with your huge database, but any tips on finding with your search function will be terrific.

Er, we already have 12 hour. That is the only option.
I'm not sure how many different formats that you want to use for 'time', but I would have thought that you only need the 12-hour am/pm style for the US, and the 24-hour (with colon) style for everyone else.
However, if you are talking about 'date styles' then that is a never ending permutation, of m-d-y and d-m-y and y-m-d, with month as digits or as word. Whatever you do here, I plead that you don't allow 2-digit year formats, only four digit years, and that you also disallow y-d-m and m-y-d and d-y-m formats.
My only mistake was not forseeing 10digit unix time that occurred last fall. I'd been time sorting "ascii'betically". Big mistake...

I'm going to allow the operators to set it up any way they want. I'll give them slots for time, and then "day, month, year" and they can mix and match with words or numeric any way they want. I'll probably do 5-6 default options for them.
Vita, interesting phenom since the new software has the "recent threads" option. People have almost quit using flags. I assume everyone was using flags to flag their own posts.
