UK Engines board gone

Are you working on the UK Engines board Brett?
I just got notification of a new post and there's nothing there!

Thanks Neil. The last post in UK Engines was lost. There is no way to get it back. I've looked and can not determine who was the last visitor (they didn't login before posting and the error occured when they left the post).

Hmmm, she was logged in, but evidently the error occured before it was written to the running log or I'd be able to resurect the post.

Sorry Brett and all UKers - I confess. It was my 'friendly' poltergeist. I have a mains circuit breaker that trips over itself for no discoverable reason - it went just as I had posted (not even anything important) When I fired up again and got back to the forums (or tried) - none of them were there, the whole of WWW seemed to be down - so I hoped it wasn't me.

It won't happen again. Sod's law - I had bought a UPS for that computer but hadn't got round to grovelling in medusa's hairstyle. It's plugged in now :)

It was my fault. A typo in a script that didn't show up until today. I swear it was not a spelling error ;)

I typed lock when I really meant to say flock; which is a major difference to the system. Files weren't being locked when they were written. It was an accident waiting to happen.

I hereby raise you to the level of official Webmaster World Bug Finder and Beta Tester.
