thanks to all who share their knowledge - I've learned a great deal from you that has benefited my traffic flows - I've learned that search engine optimization isn't so much about "tricking" search engines like Google, which doesn't pay in the end, but making the best of the best of what you have - it's been a real education. The fact that you are so open with quality hints and tips is testament to the fact the Internet is still a community, even though many of you make your living through SEO and the knowledge you have is commercially very valuable.
You welcome newbies such as myself, and considering the nature of the topic, it's one of the friendliest and most helpful groups around. Congrats to all who keep things humming.
Also, my doctor is now approaching the AMA to include Googleitis, Google Psychosis and Googlephobia as real diseases. What would he know - he doesn't have a web site ;0)
Thanks again,
Icarus.
some people in here have a huge base of knowledge, and are willing to share. Looking back to '00 and early '01, these people were once like me :) (looking at old threads)
It goes to show that a pro-active community (with a degree of neutrality) can work in such an effective manner, while at the same time, offer a friendly 'I understand' approach to other peoples problems.
These recent threads sum it up for me
