I'd give you a blow by blow, but I don't really know what happened.
I uploaded a core file this morning to block a bot and all hell broke loose.
rebooted server.
I couldn't ftp to the site. Always errored out.
rebooted server
I couldn't edit from the cpanel filemanager - wouldn't write to disk.
rebooted server
rebooted my windows machine - and like magic it had a major update.
Then everything worked.
Beats me....

Whew!

I am always tickled when a website's error message gives a contact email ... and the email doesn't work. (In other words, You Are Not Alone.)

At least you didnt get a message about a degraded RAID at the same time as all hell was breaking loose... That must have been me lol
When running a dedicated box and not having any form of access is the worst feeling. Especially when in reality, you are the tech support :-)
