How to stop receiving webmasterworld New Topic emails?

Hi,

I can't find a way to get WebMasterWorld to stop emailing me new thread notifications. Can someone help?

I appear to be "following" a few forums/topics (Google Search and SEO, Webmaster General, Webmaster Hardware, etc), and my inbox constantly receives emails about new threads that have been created there, and I want to stop receiving them. How do I stop this?

I have:

- visited the forum page ( https://www.webmasterworld.com/google/ ) but can't see any sort of "unfollow/stop receiving notifications" kind of option there
- looked through my profile and my control panel, but can't see any sort of controls for what I am/am not following
- none of the emails I receive have any sort of "unsubscribe" link

How do I stop receiving these emails?

Thanks!

Up at the top header bar just to the right of the WebMasterWorld logo, there is a drop-down menu "Dashboard" which would offer a link to your Followed Threads where you can see any threads you are following and turn off your follow "Flag".

Every time not2easy heatedly denies knowing how to do something, she promptly turns around and demonstrates knowing how to do something.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I've just looked there and it says

WebmasterWorld Followed Threads

No Flags Found

The issue isn't that I'm getting replies for threads that I've participated in/followed, it's that I'm getting "Discussion Notifications"; they are for brand new threads (ie. I haven't replied in them, etc)

Oh, also, I found

[webmasterworld.com...]

which is "My Forum List..."

however I have "No Email Notifications" ticked, and all the individual checkboxes unticked... which would imply to me that I'm not subscribed/following any forums, however the system seems to still think I am...

A bug perhaps?

Oh, I did not say I knew how to fix it, only that it might be where to look. It seems I was wrong. again.

Have you checked the Add/Edit forums from the dashboard?

Also noticed that while you joined in 2022 you have posted only 7 times... there is a number of posts that will elevate your status to junior member. At that time I recall that some bells and whistles are added to your profile that makes the site more useful.

Not saying that's the reason, but is something that is "different".
