Unable to vote for post in Supporters' forum

There appears to be a glitch in Supporters' forum that prevents voting

I tried to vote for a post in Supporters' forum, specifically in The Wall, but was unable to do so.

I cannot cite the name of the post here, because Supporters' forums are private. However, if an admin requests this info, I can send it to the admin via Stickymail.

I clicked on "Votes" and got an error message:
Login Required to Vote

I was already logged in. I logged in again. Tried to vote again. Got the same error message.

Did the above repeatedly, using both Edge and Chrome. No cigar. If what I did was not the correct method for voting, kindly let me know what the correct method is. I am new, so I may have gotten it totally wrong.

Somehow I missed seeing this earlier so I apologize for the delay. If you visit our welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] page, you may see why there was an error.

I am not certain how many posts it takes and that might not even be listed, but voting for posts is not available until some point has been passed. I'd guess, in the beginning of that feature's implementation, there was some unwanted behavior from drive-by users so it became a delayed feature. The time will come, don't worry.

Without revealing the trip point as it is based on the number of posts by the new member, I can say the number is higher than 50 and less than a number higher than that. This, however, is old information from way back when (I was a mod at the time), and the parameters of the probationary period might have been changed, elevated or reduced. I can't say in that regard.

HOWEVER, as not2easy notes above, the time will come when voting (and other perks) are allowed. Since this is across the board, both public and paid, it is a fair and reasonable probationary period---and weeds out the majority of bad actors.
