I have had the experience now at least twice of clicking on the title of some location on this site and I am suddenly seeing a log in page. The first time I think I did try and do the log in and in some manner was informed that I needed a to have subscribed in some manner to be able to enter.

Okay, fine by me. Private rooms, no sweat.

But it just happened again and I realized I wasn't seeing any sort of indicator that it was a private room.

What am I missing? Is it because of my browser. There is an indictor that it is a private room and my browser isn't showing that indictor?

In the forum index, there is a listing for WebmasterWorld Supporters [webmasterworld.com] forums with some sub-boards for various topics. The descriptions all state
(* Sub-board Subscription Required)

Up in the (desktop) upper right corner there is an area with separate links to Register For Free! or Become a Pro Member! The subscription opens up those forums for subscribers.

There is no specific Supporters Only! icon, has never been a problem in the past. That additional log-in indicates that it is not a public forum. Subscribers don't see an extra log-in page.

You could ask Brett to add that icon for you but at this time, it might be #892 (conservatively) on his to-do list if he sees it as helpful.

Thank you. I don't mind so much. Kind of neat, actually, to have the surprise popup like that. I really was wondering if I simply needed to use a less "old-man" style browser.

Okey-dokey, thank you.
