Why is my last google search showing up highlighted when I refresh a thread?

You probably have the highlight button clicked on your google toolbar...

(WMW does have the ability to highlight, but that feature is only used on searches)

Did you find the thread in question through a site search?

Your browser leaked the Google search referrer.

The board reads referring strings. If a user comes in on a Google search referral, then the board highlights [webmasterworld.com] the referral portion.

example: click on the webmasterworld listing:
[google.com...]

Same thing happens with the site search and possibly other search engines.

No...actually I didn't arrive from a search. The last google search I did was an image search on "receptionist" (the term that was highligted here). I don't think I can get here from there.

Your browser "leaked" a referral. Happens quite often. Sometimes just typing in a url, clicking on a bookmark, or a personal bar link will send the current page as the referral.
