Is there a way to flag spam in the sticky mail system? On the rare occasion I get some new-user sending spam links, it would be handy to be able flag these users to make it more difficult for them to propagate their spam.

Yup, I see a Sticky too. Sender’s name apparently generated by allowing cat to walk across keyboard.

There was a user turned off for Sticky spam this morning - user name was like what lucy24 described, a bunch of c,d,f's in no readable order. I hope that's the one - they were turned off. At the bottom of the page, under Resources - there is a link to report a problem.
OR you can report your own post here and share the details privately to any Moderator passing through. It can and should be reported any time you get spam via stickymail - and it does not matter what message is used to report it, it gets seen quickly.

The fastest way to alert the team is: Post a generic message in community, then "report a message" of your post with the spamming mebername in the report, not in the thread.
Thanks
Added, that member is already turned off.

@Engine, I actually thought about doing exactly that. Next time I will, but hopefully there wont be a next time!

Having been an Admin (Cre8 back in the day) I know the difficulties and appreciate how well the WebmasterWorld team preemptively whacks spammers. This thread highlights the rarity of successful infiltration.
